The use of fine, aged South American Hardwoods distinguishes the Notus furniture and decorative pieces.
The collection has only antique and vintage pieces from Brazil. We do not encourage using endangered hardwoods from the destruction of Brazil's virgin forests. The recently made tables from Argentina use wood that is secured from approved sources under the guidance of the Adobe Asociación Civil.
The collections have only antique and vintage pieces made from solid, seasoned woods. The particular hardwoods used vary from the well known types such as Rosewood (known as Jacaranda in Brazil) to the less well known Peroba do Campo and Quebracho. Whether familiar or unfamiliar, all the woods are distinguished by wonderful natural grain, colors and patina.
